What We Do

We work hard to support children, families and organisations with anything related to mental health and emotional wellbeing. We specialise in play therapy, a clinical therapy for children which allows them explore their feelings and experiences through play. Read more about this here

We also offer CPD, workshops and twilight sessions for staff, parents, carers and professionals. All of our services are designed to holistically support everyone around the child. We work with school staff, external agencies, children, carers and parents. We believe in not only helping the children to heal, but empowering those around them to make a difference too.

Everyone can have an impact on a child’s mental health and wellbeing and can be working therapeutically in small ways. Our work with you will enhance your skillset and develop your practice so that you feel fully equipped to work with vulnerable children who struggle with their behaviour and emotions as  a result of adverse life experiences.

We know that children who have suffered from trauma will often struggle with their behaviour, attention and peer relationships.  As well as offering therapy, we are keen to help teach professionals and parents more about mental health and wellbeing and offer them a chance to develop their own skills to support the children and young people around them.

All children deserve the right to heal and explore unpleasant experiences. There is no such thing as a 'bad' child- just 'bad' experiences

We are always working hard to make a difference for children and are always expanding and introducing new services to meet the needs out there. Have a little look below to find out more about what we do in each industry. You can find more information throughout the website too! Download Our Information booklet

We are really proud of the work we do in schools. We aim to make a real difference helping schools put emotional wellbeing & mental health at their core. Children who have experienced trauma or difficult backgrounds cannot learn at school. Their brains are wired differently and their behaviours are linked to that wiring! Schools need to know all about attachment, loss, trauma etc and the impact on a child’s development so that teachers are equipped with the right tools to help make a difference and begin to teach again! We monitor outcomes and ensure that you have written reports/ assessments every 6-7 weeks to help map progress ( read more here)

Our team of therapists work closely with Adoption and Fostering teams around England. We ensure that we work in partnership with the adoption/ fostering team, communicating weekly with both the organisation and the parents of the children in therapy. We make sure you can monitor outcomes   by completing assessments every 6-7 weeks and providing you with written reports at no extra charge!

It is really important to us that we keep our prices reasonable so the children’s pots of money go toward their therapy and not toward our admin!

Our therapists are skilled at offering parenting advice, support and strategies to help parents/ carers at home alongside our therapy sessions.

If you're worried about your child and want to make a referral please have a look at our referral process information and our play therapy information to give you an idea of what we do. We would then love to hear from you either via email or over the phone.

We are a mobile service and so do not have a therapy room at present so sometimes finding a place to do therapy can be difficult. We advise you have a quick chat with your childs school to see whether they would be happy to facilitate the sessions by allowing us to use a room once a week for an hour in order for us to do the sessions. We are happy to ring them on your behalf and have a chat about this with them too if that helps.

Our therapists are wonderful at making sure you have lots of support at home to compliment the therapy process and sometimes we might even invite you in to a therapy session toward the end of the childs time with us. We are always on hand to help support you with parenting and behaviour and can also offer some parenting workshops to help give you some insight in to how difficult experiences can affect your child and their development and what you can do to help.

Our director Shahana Knight is passionate about helping make a difference in the world of mental health and emotional wellbeing. She currently writes for Head Teachers Update & SecEd the educational magazines ( Read some of her articles by following the links here). She also speaks at conferences on mental health, childhood trauma and education. Please email us with any enquiries about booking her to speak or write for you.
